The HVOF process applies very dense, strongly adhered coatings by injecting metal powder into the high pressure gas stream. HMG’s HVOF machine can spray Carbon Chromium Silicon Boron Iron Nickel, Chromium Nickel Molybdenum Silicon Boron Copper, Tungsten Carbide-Nickel, Carbon Chromium Iron and Tungsten Carbide Cobalt Chromium Powders.
HVOF spraying is an alternative for chrome plating because it enables a flexible choice of coating materials for each application. For example, tungsten carbide is up 10 times stronger than traditional hard chrome plating.
